Mrs. Bennet's sister, married to an attorney in Meryton. Her house is a resort for the young people and the officers, and her appetite for news rivals her sister's.

Chapter XV

Mrs. Bennet's sister keeps open house for the officers at Meryton, and it is through her that the younger girls meet Mr. Wickham.

Chapter XVI

Her supper party gives Wickham the opening to pour his history of Mr. Darcy into Elizabeth's willing ear.
