Chapter VI

At Lucas Lodge he plays the genial host and presses Mr. Darcy to stand up with Elizabeth, meaning nothing but kindness by it.

Chapter XVIII

Ever ceremonious, he lets fall to Mr. Darcy at the Netherfield ball that a match between Jane and Mr. Bingley is generally expected.

Chapter XXIX

He travels to Hunsford to see his daughter Charlotte settled, and is awed into bows by the grandeur of Rosings.
