Sir Henry Baskerville
Also known as Sir Henry, the baronet, Henry Baskerville, Mr. Henry Baskerville.
The next of kin and heir to Sir Charles Baskerville, named in the newspaper as the son of Sir Charles's younger brother and last heard of in America. With Sir Charles childless, this young man, if he still lives, stands to inherit Baskerville Hall and the great Baskerville fortune, and inquiries are afoot to bring him home.
Chapter III. The Problem
Word comes that he had been farming in Canada and is by all accounts an excellent young fellow; he is the last of the Baskervilles and due at Waterloo within the hour.
Chapter IV. Sir Henry Baskerville
He proves a small, sturdy, dark-eyed young man fresh from the open air, hot-tempered and plain-spoken and set on claiming his inheritance; a printed note has reached him warning him from the moor, and a new boot is mysteriously stolen at his hotel.
Chapter V. Three Broken Threads
Furious at the theft of a second, older boot, he resolves to go down to the Hall by Saturday and gladly accepts Watson as his companion.

Eager and proud at his first sight of his ancestral moor and Hall, he vows to light the gloomy avenue with rows of electric lamps.

Settled in at the Hall, he grows plainly and warmly attracted to Miss Stapleton.

His wooing of Miss Stapleton is broken up by her furious brother, and that night, hunting Selden with Watson, he hears the dreadful howl that chills his blood.

Obedient to Holmes, he agrees to dine alone at Merripit House and walk home across the moor by the one straight path.
Chapter XIV. The Hound of the Baskervilles
Used as bait on the moor path, he is run down by the hound, saved at the last instant, and left shattered and feverish by the ordeal.
Chapter XV. A Retrospection
Recovering from his broken nerves and the deeper wound of the woman's deception, he sets out on a long restoring voyage with Dr. Mortimer.
