The fourth Bennet daughter, called Kitty, weak-spirited and fretful, led entirely by her younger sister Lydia and the lure of the officers at Meryton.

Chapter VII

She and Lydia walk to Meryton for news of the officers whenever they can, their heads full of the regiment.

Chapter XIX

She is all eagerness over Mr. Collins's visit and the coming Netherfield ball, as giddy as her sister Lydia.

Chapter XXVI

With the officers her one subject, she frets and sulks whenever Lydia is preferred before her.

Chapter XLI

She frets and cries at being left behind when Lydia is the one chosen for Brighton.

Chapter XLVII

After the elopement it comes out that she had known of Lydia's fancy for Wickham and said nothing.

Chapter LXI

Parted from Lydia's influence and much with her elder sisters, she grows quieter and more sensible.
